Join the Phil-UK Filipino Community Network
I'm putting up a directory of UK-based Filipino businesses and community organisations. The idea is to have a central place on the internet where people can find contact details for your company or group. However, this won't be just a simple link page or yellow-pages style listing. You'll also be able to:
- login and update your details
- publish news and events
- find customers and suppliers
- tell people about your company's services
- contact other members of the network
Early Access
The Filipino Community Network will be released over time but the basic features are ready. I have a limited number of 'Early Access' passes for those who want to get their slot ahead of everyone else. You'll also be able to give your input on improving the site to your advantage. Register now for your free account and start building the community.
Free lifetime membership for Founder Members
It's early days for this idea and I'm not sure where it'll lead. However, all Founder Members help to make it a success so I'm guaranteeing free lifetime membership for anyone who signs up now for their Early Access account.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Why are you offering this service?
- How much does it cost?
- Will it always be free?
- How popular is Phil-UK and how can it increase my exposure?
- Why are you limiting the number of 'Early Access' passes?
- Who are you anyway? And what's Phil-UK? I've never heard of it!
1. Why are you offering this service?
The simple answer is: because it's needed. Over the years many people have contacted this site asking for help with one thing or another. Sometimes they have a problem, are looking for a job or simply want information about the community. People often ask for contact details of a community group. Offering this service means that they'll get directed to the correct place.
2. How much does it cost?
Founder members who sign up for an Early Access account won't have to pay anything.
3. Will membership always be free?
It's still early days so I'm not sure if I'll have to start charging. Whatever happens, Founder Members won't ever have to pay a membership fee.
4. How popular is Phil-UK and how can it increase my exposure?
This site receives around 2,000 visits per month and it's rising. Compared to other popular sites, this is tiny. However, for a niche community group site that's often neglected, those numbers are not bad. Though I haven't done any serious analysis, I believe many of those visitors arrive looking for something else related to the Filipino community. They might actually be looking for you or for what you're offering.
5. Why are you limiting the number of 'Early Access' passes?
I'm one person doing this on a voluntary basis. I won't be able to cope with a huge number of application requests.
6. Who are you anyway? And what's Phil-UK? I've never heard of it!
You can find out more on the About page.
